Egg Collection & Cyclogest Side Effects..?

Hi all

I had my egg collection on Wednesday, they got 8 eggs and we got the call yesterday to say 5 have fertilised, woohoo! So now we're just waiting on whether it will be 3 or 5 day transfer & if they're all still going strong (come on embryos!).

Anyway, I found the actual egg collection itself absolutely fine, the sedative was...er...AMAZING! I felt bloody brilliant! Didn't feel any pain really & all went well. I've had pain since but nothing I wouldn't really have expected after such a procedure, but I was wondering if anyone else has experienced trapped wind? That afternoon & the day after I had such painful trapped wind, something I never usually suffer from!

And last night I had terrible diahorrea, really bad cramps etc. My tummy has been a bit sensitive since EC and I've been a bit 'loose' but last night was awful and I still have some stomach pain now.

It said to eat lightly for 24 hours afterwards but I have to admit because I wasn't feeling sick at all I didn't really eat that lightly, in fact I was stuffing down pasta so I wondered if that might be why (idiot I know). Or if it was side effects from the Cyclogest pessaries (started them up the back but for obvious reasons have now moved them to the front..!).

Sorry this is all so gross but I just wanted to see if anyone else experienced this before I call the clinic hassling them? I'm not particularly bloated or anything so I don't suspect OHSS.

The pessaries are gross. They make you hormonal and bloated! And give you pmt symptoms, nausea, gas, and loads of other symptoms. Good luck! And grow and stick little embryos!

They are awful! The injections were a total breeze in comparison! I've spent a day on plain rice and water today - terrified of another episode courtesy of Cyclogest! Do they get any better..? (Please just lie to me and say yes) X
