Hi ladies just wanted to pick your brains again! We're starting stims injections tonight & looking at possible egg retrieval w/c Oct 5th (hurrah!) So, what has everyone been eating/told to eat during your cycle? Any advice is most welcome Xx
Good luck everyone 🍀

Only suggestion I have is plenty of protein during stims phase coupled with a hot (warm) water bottle. Apparently encourages egg growth. You have to stop hot water bottle after ET though as it's not good to have direct heat on your stomach or raise your body temp too much. Good luck with your cycle!
Hi good luck, I studied this in depth and was quite strict with my diet but it worked for me and I am currently 5weeks 4 day pregnant!! ☺️ I don't know if it was a certain one of these that worked or a combination of them all.
Only eat/drink room temp foods or warmer.. Nothing ice cold.
I ate 5-6 Brazil nuts a day
An avocado a day - a study was done that eating an avocado a day can greatly improve chances -must be all the good fats... Turns out I don't particularly like advocaco so I would mask it up with scambled egg or put it in a healthy smoothie to avoid the taste.
Eggs 2-3 times a week
Lots of lean protien
A yogurt a day - I don't drink milk so I wanted some dairy.
Pineapple and more importantly it's core for a week starting from the day or 2 before transfer. (Hard to eat so an idea to put it in the smoothie)
I also went as organic as I could possibly can. Especially with dairy. I wasn't an organic snob but if there was a reasonably priced choice I went for organic.
I also had no caffeine or alcohol.
While going through Ivf I met 3 other girls going through it at the same time. All had first class blasts put back and mine was a low grade blast and I am the only one that got a bfp... Not sure if it is luck or my body was just super ready for it.. I was the only one that followed this diet and I was also the only one that did acupuncture before after egg transfer (also a high recommendation)
Hello! Ooh it's exciting isn't it, I have found the injecting a bit of a novelty I have to say. Thankfully I'm not squeamish about needles so it wasn't a worry for me, plus you really can't feel the needle going in anyway - honestly!
So I started stimming (short protocol) on the 15th Sep. Went for my first scan last Wednesday a week after starting and was given the news that the eggs were all a bit too small for that stage and it looked likely we would have to cancel as I obviously wasn't responding properly. Obviously we were pretty gutted but we were told to carry on with drugs until the Friday when they would scan again. I looked on here for advice and any tips to get my eggs growing in the meantime & basically as a result made sure I had a hot water bottle on my tummy at all times & drank loads of milk & ate loads of protein. Low and behold two days later at the Friday scan we'd had a massive turnaround and my eggs were all coming along nicely & we're looking at EC next week now - woohoo!
So to cut a long-ish story short I would eat lots of protein, fish, eggs, milk, chicken, Quorn etc, and use a hot water bottle as often as you can because I really feel like it must have made a difference in those two days.
Prior to that I was eating organic & very healthily & drinking lots of water (which I've continued to do). Oh and drink as much water as you can!
Sending good luck vibes your way! Keep us posted x
*nb. My husband has low motility, all fine with me & we are having ICSI
