I’ve been reading conflicting advice around both subjects.
I guess you have to go with your own personal take on it but for example, I have been drinking the odd glass of wine and occasional cup of coffee (have tea every morning) - but thinking I should quit both altogether for the foreseeable future (start initial scans in a week when bleed comes). Diet wise, it seems the Mediterranean diet is the best choice?
As for exercise, I’ve been doing gentle yoga every morning. I feel that this is not enough though but read that running is bad during this time. (Hate gyms and public pools.) I also feel as if I’m putting on weight, feel bloated and puffy!
Any tips or links to useful web pages would be welcome, thanks.

Hi delilah. Yoga's fine, and walking/swimming. Nothing too adventurous as you don't want to put your testosterone up! This is my IVF diet. Carbohydrates - Wholegrain bread and wholemeal pasta, oatmeal, brown rice. All fresh vegetables especially raw or steamed. Over boiling rids them of vitamins and minerals, pineapple juice, apricots, potatoes, all fruit and honey, beans, chickpeas and lentils. Protein - Organic meat if possible, poultry, fish, Milk and hard cheese, nuts and seeds. Fat - Extra virgin olive oil and sunflower oil, avocado and peanut butter, mackerel, sardines, nuts (especially Brazil and walnuts), seeds, sweet corn and sweet potatoes. The things to avoid are too much sugar, processed foods, ready meals, butter, ice cream etc. A little is OK, but not all the time. Drink plenty of water and only a little tea and coffee if feeling deprived. Cut right down or right out – alcohol and smoking. Oh and don’t forget the Folic Acid and Vitamin D! Good luck! Diane
Very helpful, thank you. Butter is a hard one when it comes to things like toast but maybe I can substitute it with olive oil or sunflower spread instead (or is that worse?!)
This sounds good! You should be exercising throughout. Focus mainly on eating carbohydrates. Protein is important too and drink lots of water! I would not suggest tea or alcohol. Folic acid is quite important, too! Best of luck to you! I really hope it all works out!
