Hi ladies .. So just a bit of a moan.. The last few days I've been feeling so sick I haven't vomited but it is very strong also I've been so tired and exhausted its a feeling I can't explain. I didn't get much sleep last night though as the feeling of nausea woke me up. Is anybody else going through this? Is this morning sickness? Xx

Hi ShanJ,

I'm 6 weeks pregnant today and I have also been suffering from sickness this week. I haven't been sick but I feel nauseous most of the time. It's definitely morning sickness I'm afraid and it can last up to 12 weeks or 16 is some cases!!

I've found eating little and often helps. I managed to eat some porridge this morning and that really held of the sickie feeling until lunch time. I am also suffering from a little heartburn! I have just bought some travel sickness wrist bands as I was told these can help. I'll let you know how I get on.

We just have to see it as a really good sign that everything is going well! Lol

I feel really tired too and I'm a little constipated. (Sorry if TMI)

I'm using Gaviscon for the heartburn as this is allowed in pregnancy and I've just got some Fybogel to see if that helps my stomach. I'm so happy to be pregnant though so I really don't want to moan about anything and I'm just trying to see it all as good signs.

My scan is 16th September which feels like years away! When do you have your scan booked for?

xx

Hello

Yes, I've had this. The tiredness has mostly passed but I still feel quite nauseous and have been sick quite a few times. I find eating little amounts often helps most (even if the thought of it makes you feel sick). For a while o had a box of ryvita crackers on my bedside table in case I woke up feeling this way.

Morning sickness is a a good sign though. Everytime I tell my hubby I've been sick he says "that's great"! I'm trying to be positive about it too.

I also had acupuncture which is supposed to help and I bought the travel/morning sickness wrist bands x

Hi..congratulations how far gone are you? That's really good. Atleast you only have one to deal with now. Oh man poor thing I hate been sick . I wonder if it will come on with me. The symptoms make it all feel more real though .. Did the sickness band work? We're can you get them from ? Xxx

I'm 10 weeks now so just waiting on my next scan. Hoping everything is ok. I don't think you ever stop worrying!

I hate being sick too but it's no where near as bad as the struggle to get pregnant in the first place so, as unpleasant as it is, I am honestly grateful for it!

I bought the banks in boots (in the travel sickness section). I'm not sure thus made any difference but at the time anything was with a try! x

Hi ShanJ. Sorry to hear you are feeling so dodgy. Everyone says its a good thing to feel sick, but I'm worried because I haven't really been feeling sick at all. I just get the odd wave that lasts a couple of minutes or sometimes a bit of indigestion. in fact the last week or so I've been feeling ravenous and if I don't eat something I feel a bit sick.

Anyhow its not long til the 7th. Sending lots of good wishes for your scan. Let me know how it goes and I hope the sickness doesn't get any worse for you. it must be a total nightmare, esspecially if you can't sleep because of it xxx.

Aww but it can come anytime so don't worry. Not everybody has it .. When do you have your scan?? Thanks for the wishes. I send them back to you as well if you have any worries ask your doctor. Don't be worrying xxx

Hello BluChakra,

That's how it started with me - I would all of a sudden feel hungry and if I didn't eat quickly I would start to feel really quick sick.

It comes and goes with me too. Sometimes I feel great and other times pretty dreadful! x

I saw a midwife today and she didn't seem at all concerned. I also read that 20% of women don't feel sick at all in pregnancy so I shouldn't be worried, but it just seems like this is such a tense time. Anyhow I have had other symptoms like sore boobs and boobs getting bigger and a breakout of spots on my back, chest and chin so I know something must be going on!

I'm waiting for a letter about my 12 week scan which should be in about 3 weeks xxx

Yes I'm sure the midwife would of said something.. Don't worry everyone is different . This is so scary but stay strong now not long until your scan. Good luck and keep us informed xxx
