hello : hello everyone i am new to this... - Fertility Network UK
hello
Hi Katymay1996x,
Welcome to the network! Most GP's will not refer you for fertility treatment until you have been trying for two years but other factors can be taken into account. I have endo and was referred after trying for 18 months after being diagnosed.
There are a few things you can do in the meantime, if you're not already. You can use an app on your phone or computer to track your cycle and this will help you predict your ovulation date. You can also take your basal temperature daily or use ovulation kits but the later can be expensive.
Are you both taking trying for a baby vitamins? There are a few options for you and a Wellman version for your partner.
Try not to worry or stress about it one year isn't that long although I know it can fee that way when you get your hopes up and then are let down every month.
This is a great place for advice and support. Good luck xx
Hi! We went to see my gp after 13 months of trying without success, he had no issues in ordering blood tests for me and a semen analysis for my husband. We are now in early stages of starting IVF treatment. It can't help to go and see x
Hello! My husband and I went to see our GP after one year of ttc. She did some blood tests and referred us to the fertility clinic for more tests. We're currently going through our first round of IVF.
Good luck x
