Hello Ladies

I'm due to start in July and rather worried about the treatment as well as the needles and injections. Are the side affects awful with the treatment and did anyone have their embryos watched.

good luck everyone xxx

Many thanks

Hello

I'm still on the Buserelin this is my 2nd week and for me (touch wood) there's not been any side effects as yet (of course that could all change at any time so watch this space!). The actual injections haven't been too bad either. I'm just trying to take it one day at a time at the moment. Not looking forward to the transfer etc but hopefully it will be okay. Good luck to us all. Xxx

After 6 years of trying, a miscarriage and courses of clomid and IUI we are in our 2 week wait on our first round of IVF. I was dreading it too, particularly after doing some reading around on other peoples' experiences on here. But for me, whilst the injections were a chore and not always the easiest, the side affects were a lot less than the other treatments; particularly clomid. There are side affects but for me it has been manageable if I just listen to my body and rest when I need to. Whether this I gave myself a good 5 month break and my body a complete break before starting I don't know. The other treatments kind of just rolled on one after the other once we were on the fertility roller coaster. But it has been more okay than I could have hoped for. Hope that helps, I think it is important for us to share the good as well as the bad on here otherwise some of us would never have attempted IVF! Good luck with it all.

I was worried about doing th injections but there were pretty much painless and easy to do, your clinic should do injection training with you. I got hubby to mix up the Menopur as the bigger needle freaked me out a bit but the needle you use if very fine. I had some minor side effects eg hot flushes at night and bloating and tenderness before and after EC.

Wishing you every success.
