Hi kc21. Good to know that your referral is on the way. I can’t recommend a clinic, but if you have a look at the following website hfea.gov.uk you will be able to access the 3 websites of the clinics you have been offered, and “have a look round”. Sometimes, they have open days, so you can have a look round and meet the staff. This might give you a better feeling about the different clinics. Good luck with whoever you do decide to go with. Diane
Thank you. Obviously success rates are one thing bit should we be looking for anything else ? How often do you need to go in there ... is it worth picking somewhere near work ? X
Have they not said anything about wanting to unblock or remove that tube? Just asking as normal procedure is to open or remove it to ensure that no trapped fluid drips down into the uterus and impacts the IVF. Every case is different, but I would suggest that you ask the clinic about this when you go. You don't want your IVF shot to be compromised in any way and it is for sure best to get everything sorted first x
Yes Katrina13 I agree with u . I had my both tubes block one of them I had removed in December . Before I went through IVF I need to have a scan if that one left tube is ok because if for any reason was block again I will need to wait. Like u say the fluid in Fallopian tube will effect the IVF and that what my doctor told me .
There's some more information about choosing a clinic here - fertilitymatters.org.uk/inf.... Remember, blocked tubes are not always caused by the same problems so the treatment needed may not be the same for everyone.
Hi both I haven't had any info yet. Just that they will not be operating to try and unblock as it's to intricate nothing about taking it away. She said flow through from the other tube is very good. I will try and find out more. Thanks ... now having the task of finding what clinic to go for ... does anyone know much about the Agora or bridge centre ? Xx
