Peseries when to start???
No don't worry you start these after egg collection, well I did x
Pessaries are for after egg collection usually so I wouldn't have said so. Did you have any paperwork come through with a treatment schedule? Mine tells me that the nurse will tell me when to start them. If in doubt I would call your clinic tomorrow xx
Hi Hannah
The clinic should advise you when to start using these, both my clinics gave me a lot of medication so I had it ready to take/use when they told me to. I would give your clinic a call tomorrow to confirm. Good Luck Tasha
Hi. Seeing the other replies made me think. Although I had egg donation treatment I did start the pessaries after the donor had her eggs collected. Though I would still telephone the clinic to confirm what you should be doing. Tasha
Phewwww!! Thanks, the nurse told me a lot and all I took in was the beginning part and through till pick the rest up as I go along ! I'm at the hospital for a scan tomorrow but thought if I should have been taking them then I should doing now! Thanks for your help xx
The pessary re probably say 'Cyclogest' on them. These are indeed for luteal support, ie post egg collection, they are progesterone based. Good luck!
Hello. Just to add to what others have said. They normally give you one after the egg collection straight away and then tell you to continue them at home. x
Definitely call your clinic to check. I had FET and started a few days before transfer.
It is also important that you do not use them vaginally in the days before transfer - it has to be the 'tradesmans entrance' hehe.. actually I find that the easiest (and less messy) way anyway so I have stuck to that all along.
I lived in France for a long time though and over there pretty much all over the counter meds go up the bum so I guess I am used to it
