Afraid it's not good news

Hi ladies

Today was test day and I hate to say but it was negative for me. In some ways it's not been too hard to take as I got my period last week so pretty much knew it then and OMG it was very painful (very usual for me). The physical pain kind of took over the hurt to be honest. Still, not looking forward to Christmas with all the nephews and nieces being hyper, already did that last night for first time and was a bit hard to take. Never mind, hopefully we'll get another chance and things will work out better in 2015.

Hi miannach. So sorry to hear that you have been unsuccessful this time round. It is difficult to take in at any time, but I think more so at this time of the year. I feel you need to look after yourself and hubby/partner just for the moment and only do what you have to regarding your nephews and nieces. Hopefully you will be able to have another try in the New Year, and let’s hope that it is your year! Diane

So sorry to hear this at what should be a very happy time of the year. Nothing will ease your pain but know that there are others in this position that know how you feel on this forum. Enjoy plenty of food and drink and maybe make a plan for 2015 which includes both fertility and non fertility things. Do not give up xxx

I'm really sorry to hear that it didn't work this time. I had my negative test at the beginning of November. It was really hard but things are getting better.

Diane's advise is good, take care of yourself and your other half and do what you want with regards to the extended family. I too found it a bit much initially seeing my nieces and nephew, perhaps not seeing them all at once if that's possible might help.

I hope you get a chance to relax and re cooperate over the Christmas break and wish you all the best for next year.

Sorry to hear that - really feel for you. As the others have said, treat yourselves this week and enjoy a restful time together where you can. All we can all do is look forward positively to better outcomes in 2015!

I'm so sorry to hear that your test was negative I really do understand as on 21 December 2013 my test was negative. Christmas was hard I got through it as I am sure you will too, just eat and do what you feel like doing that's what me and my husband did. I wish you all the very best for 2015. Sorry to hear that hope you feel better in time it feels less raw.. This time of year must make it even tougher Big hugs to you.. Maybe consider counseling to get over this disappointment.. Maybe when you're ready maybe try again xxx
