Egg retrieval Wednesday!!

I have been for scan today and i have 16 large follicles and a hand full of small ones so I am going in for egg retrieval on Wednesday, I am so nervous about this, it is very hard to think positive as me and my partner have been trying for 5 years for a baby. Any advice would be greatly received xxxxxx

I had 19 eggs to start with 5 of which made it to blastocyst and now I have a 2year old daughter so there is hope try to stay positive

Hi Me and my partner been trying for five years too, unexplained which is even harder to cope with not knowing. I start my ivf cycle September 6th good luck to you we will need some. Xx

We lost a baby wen I was nearly 6 months pregnant Declan 4 years ago unexplained infertility and unexplained y we went into premature labour xx hope all goes well you hav got this far xx we had 6 eggs all gd quailty we had one blastocyst put bac yesterday just a waiting game xx it hard to stay positive which is understandable just jump each hurdle as it comes u will b fine gd luck will b thinking of you xxx

is this your first ivf and are you on long protocol?

i am both of the above and really scared about it all, how many weeks did u take the injections? I have to go in on friday as this is my 6th day for them to check everyhing , im only on 150 menopur so not sure if they up this dose or does it all depend on how you respond?

Good luck!! Xx the egg retrieval takes a lot out of you especially if you have lots of eggs I had mine on the Monday and got 23 eggs and took the whole week off I had mine put back in the Friday make sure you have lots of rest after xxxx

Hi weemex,

Yes this is my first IVF and yes i am on long protocol, I was injecting for 5 and a half weeks. My dosage stayed the same but that might just of been because of how i was responding. I wish you loads of luck xxxx

I had egg collection today also and yet got 30 eggs from me x wow x not to good tho as now I may ha OHSS which I am being tested for and if my bloods come back to high I can't have one transferred back they have to be frozen for a couple of months
