Hi Georgiewakey, Sorry don't know what that result means, but

I would say, yes get another test done. My OH first test result was not very good. His second one came back normal ( don't know if the small change he made, made a difference. He changed his underwear!! From y fronts to boxers, or the first sample had been effected by the cold weather as we transported it the lab).

I think your GP can still refer you for fertility investigations but as you have children, I doubt you would get funding for IVF.

Good luck with everything!!

Hi Georgiewakey. You always need to have a second semen analysis done at around 2 months after the first, to allow sufficient time for sperm development. Unfortunately, though, as jhza700 says, should you need any treatment such as IVF or ICSI, this would not be funded by the NHS as you already have 2 children. You might like to give your husband a good multi-vitamin tablet, along with some selenium and zinc, which has been proven to improve the motility of the sperm. Make sure too that you have regular intercourse to keep the sperm manufacture going, and remember to abstain from sex at least 3 days before the second analysis is done. Good luck with it all. Diane
