Is anyone a support worker in the community ? I work a mixture of days and nights and late evenings. I don't know how to fit my injections in and if I don't get much sleep on my shift will that effect things as I was told a minimum of 8 hours a night ?

The thing is to try and find a regular time of day to do your injections as then your body will be getting a regular level/increase in hormone to stimulate your ovaries and womb lining. Good luck.

I can't do it in the day at work as I'm not aloud to take needles to work and I work days evenings and nights it's different every day and every week. Think I may have to ask them to take me off night shift and do it at the same time every night when home. Just hope my work let me x

That was my next thought actually. My other problem is I do a day shift followed by a night sleep in but like last night I got no sleep wot so ever had to leave work and miss my shift that morning and don't it to stress me out as I read a minimum of 8 hours is best.

Hello ladies, I spent years on forums looking for hope and advice, as they say a problem shared is a problem halved. I overcame my 7 years of infertility due to endometriosis and reoccurring ovarian cysts. Just before my 40 I completely changed my life style and as a result I had two beautiful healthy children NATURALLY! No IVF! I wanted to share my success in the hope that I might help other ladies on their difficult quest to have children. My ebook is published on Amazon and will be available completely free on 2nd of February 2014. Hopefully I didn't sound too markety, I'm just keen on helping. Surely if you talk to HR they need to make 'reasonable adjustments' same as if you had a health condition that puts you at risk. As your employer has a 'duty of care' to ensure your wellbeing.

I am a support worker too for disabilities with challenging behaviour, I recently got promoted to assistant manager and on 9 month probation, I do sleep ins but you don't sleep the same. I'm also worried about having to take time off sick as been told bed rest needed, is this a myth? also frustrates me that if you foster or adopt (not denying a good cause) you get more help and rights than you if you need treatment to help conceive. Also looking for literature to explain simply to my man that endometriosis and ivf at 31 is the way forward. Any tips, advise welcome.

Yes we do the same work. I hope they sort something reasonable out cause the job is stressful as it is. I'm not sure about the resting as I've been told to carry on as normal. I'm so happy to hear all your success stories ! I'm 26 but glad I'm starting this early. I have endometriosis and had both tubes removed. I'm also being an egg donor x
