Hi Danielle, thanks for the message this morning. At our embryo transfer today they told us to do a home pregnancy test two weeks today. I was wondering why you keep referring to post egg collection? I thought u had go by the egg transfer????

Hi Emmy I just mean testing time, it is normally 14 days past egg collection you test. Did you get any to freeze? I was not told to do home pregnancy tests infact the nurse told me not to take them as they are inconclusive. I have a blood test tomorrow to confirm if I am pregnant or not.

I'm with Ivf wales at cardiff Heath hospital. They've told me to test at home in two weeks, i can book in for them to test tho if I want. It takes about an hour to get there so not quite sure what to do yet?! I'm glad we've got a couple of weeks off from the travelling I really really hope your blood test is positive tomorrow, you've got a great amount of embryos left to fall back on tho if worst comes to worst. We only ended up with two eggs so we've got one in the freezer and one in the oven lol do you know what sort of grade your embryos were?

Hi I didn't realise you had to travel for all your appointments, we only have to get a metro train that only takes 5 mins so we are quite lucky, also im sorry that you only got 1 little embryo to freeze but at least you got 1 more. I got told by the clinic that all of our 5 day embryos were really good quality and that they don't really use grades just whether they were poor, fair or good, and we got good, the clinic I am with in Newcastle only freeze good quality embryos at day 5. I am sure that I will definitely get a negative tomorrow without a doubt but im still going for the blood test to make sure, and you are right there is still another 7 yet waiting. I hope you get a positive in a couple of weeks and I have my fingers crossed already for you. How many free cycles do you get at wales? x

They did give us a grading but it won't make sense to you so won't bore you with that. We did have more than 2 left but only 2 were good, the embryologist said it was a really nice one that they put back but you never know they could say that to everyone?! I've got my fingers crossed for tomorrow for you, good luck xxx

my embryologist said exactly the same to me, she said it was a lovely one she put back aswell so sounds like they may say that to everyone, if you want to explain the grading I don't mind listening, it is quite interesting all the things you learn along the way lol. It is a shame about your other 2 eggs but unfortunately they will only put good ones back and if you think about it it is for your own best interest as you would not want a embryo back that had a less chance. All you can do is wait now. Good luck xx

I know, it's funny I'm starting my 2ww and urs is almost over. My mother in law reckons they wouldn't lie bout the embryo...not to get ur hopes up but u never know. Good luck xx

Good luck ladies - I have my test day next Thursday!! Believe me the last 8 days have dragged so much!!! I have to do the wee on the stick....not been offered a blood test!!! Didn't make it to the 2 weeks and started bleeding on our first IVF attempt.....so just hoping we even get there this time!!! xx
