I'm 10 weeks pregnant (ivf) and 2 weeks ago I had a large bleed. When I had a scan everything was normal and no explanation of the bleeding was given, it's been 2 weeks now and im still bleeding! It alternates from red and brown and when I rang my consultant he wasn't concerned. Any advice please?

Why am I still bleeding?
Have you registered this pregnancy with your gp/midwife? I had my first midwife appointment at 9 weeks, and then the normal pregnancy 12 week scan shortly after?
at about 10 weeks, is when you transfer from a fertility clinic to antenatal care (although, most places will make you consultant led because it is an IVF baby - I actually have seen my consultant throughout both fertility treatment and my pregnancy). So, it could be to get registered with your midwife and see if there are any scans that she can call - i.e. your 12 week scan a little early, and to also alert her to the issues you are having.
But I would be alerting my clinic every time I had a bleed - in my first 12 weeks, I had 3 bleeds and called them everytime - they generally checked my hormone levels, and prescribed bed rest until the bleeding stopped. So, please do call your clinic again.
Hope all goes well.

Thanks.
Iv had 3 scans and 3 lots of blood tests and all is normal. My midwife is all sorted and first appointment is next week.
I think what is bothering me is that this has been a continuous bleed for 2 weeks and my clinic don't seem concerned.
I would be concerned too! Tell your midwife, but I would be taking bed rest at the moment - no way could I think about going to work or doing any activity, you need to do what you can to keep this little one safe. Do you have the name for your midwife - if so see if you can get hold of her ahead of next week to seek her advice. xxx
