If you are creating embryos within a relationship, then the embryos created belong to both of you – whether created using your eggs and his sperm or donated sperm. This is usually fully explained during implications counselling before treatment starts. To allow the stored embryos to be used (or fresh ones), then consent is needed from both partners to proceed. Perhaps you both need to see your consultant and/or counsellor at your clinic/hospital to clarify what is to happen. Provision always needs to be made for any stored eggs/sperm/embryos in case of divorce or one partner (or both) dying.
