What are the chances of an IVF cycle being succesfull after a fibroid resection?
Hi leeann. Well, it’s seems as if you got the “nasty” bit over with! Anything which can get into the way of the implantation of a developing embryo is best rid of if possible. I’m sure that when you go back for your next consultation, you will both be given the go ahead for your IVF. I do wish you both well with the outcome. Kind regards Diane
Hi,
I had a fibroid removed in November and conceived the following March via IVF. So I agree with Diane - it's best to have fibroids removed, to give yourself the best chance of implantation. Good luck.
I feel a little more hopeful now thanks girls. I had a fibroid resection done as couldn't have it removed because of its position. Been told to leave it 4-6 weeks before my next IVF cycle, as i have a small window of oppotunity as it may start to grow back. Lets hope we are lucky this time round.
