hello. Any of you ladies had either preeclampsia or premature babies?
I’ve been admitted for mild preeclampsia at 29 weeks with twins - one estimated at 3 pound, second at 2.6pound.
So far today the blood pressure tablets have controlled my Bp to normal rates but I’d really love if you have some encouraging stories about early babies or how long your body coped with preeclampsia?
THANK YOU!!! ❤️❤️❤️❤️

Yes, I've recently had a premature baby (waters started to break at 28 weeks) and although I didn't have pre-eclampsia I had other complications and my blood pressure, pulse and heart generally went haywire which was quite scary. We're a couple of months down the line now and everything's fine but the whole experience is very surreal and frightening so feel free to PM me x
Hi.Oh bless you. As I would say to patients, do as you’re told, rest and take your meds. They will keep your babies going for as long as they can before delivery. They’re good weights, so well done. It’s a worry for you, but trust the staff, they want all to go well too. Thinking of you. Diane
I ended up getting to term. But was admitted with major bleed at 23 weeks and the doctors were preparing for our baby to come. We had to make some really uncomfortable decisions for which I was shown statistics of likely development of premature babies.
Based on what I learned back then, I significantly relaxed once we hit 28 weeks. Babies after 28 weeks should generally be ok. Though of course the NICU experience is not what anyone hopes for.
