Spotting after sweep

Hi Ladies,

Just wondering how long people may have had spotting after having a sweep. I'm 39+5. I had a sweep about 2 days ago as I had gone into triage anyway with reduced movements ( which turned out to be fine). They gave me a sweep and I had cramps straight after amd spotting. The midwife said I will have some spotting now but as long as its dark red (which it is) then not to worry.

Basically I will call midwife if it increases or goes bright red. Just wondering if anyone has any experience of this. Also I've had period pains cramping for about 2 weeks, this is continuing and a bit more with the spotting.

Thanks:) xx
