Evening all, just wondering how many of your IVF babies arrived naturally on time. My dating scan is a couple of days different to what my actual due date is …and is getting close now, just pondering !

Our clinic and hospital dates were a few days different, both boys ended up being induced and arrived a few days early 🙄🙄

I remember looking for this information when I was getting closer to my due date. I think my clinic date and hospital date were the same. Didn’t end up going into labour naturally and was induced 41+5 with my little boy being born 41+6.

it’s nice to hear a story about someone going beyond term with an IVF baby. I hear so much about early induction, it’s nice to hear a story from someone who went into week 41 before being induced. Thanks for sharing!

Our EDD was about a week difference e between clinic date (1 week later) and hospital/scan date (1 week earlier). From the scans/ consultations im having at the moment everyone is just saying the EDD is a guideline anyway and they don’t want to give too much fixed advice on induction/ c-section/ etc until more like 36 weeks plus.

thanks for your reply. I was just wondering how many actually arrived at term (between 37 and 41) naturally .

Hey,I've just turned 37 weeks and have been thinking the same.

Our baby is quite big though 99th% so at the 36 wk consultant appointment we agreed an induction at 39+2. Hoping baby will naturally start to move along before that.

A friend had waters break at 37 after IVF but have no other experience to share I'm afraid.

Hope you have a positive experience xx

My baby arrived spontaneously at 40+5. I was offered induction at 40 weeks due to it being an IVF baby but declined - there doesn't actually seem to be any good evidence for induction of IVF babies. Due date was calculated from my FET date, they didmd update it following any scans.
