Hi everyone,

I am finding in a very difficult with work. I am 20 weeks pregnant and I have been informed my my sonographer at 19 weeks scan that my baby is to small amd that I should ensure I take care of myself.

I am.working in Domiciliary care as a deputy manager and I have been moved to registered manager position. I have received my offer accepted but I haven't received yet my contract. As I have been overloaded with work-care calls-office job-admin, I have worked many days without a break in 9 hrs and without a risk assessment completed. Now I requested my risk assessment to be completed and everything seems to get crazy from them. I have bought with falls accusations from Wednesday evening while I was off sick. I requested a meeting they continue to received lots of messages that they were not right. I emailed them in the morning to clarify everything and this cause even more issues. Now they have decided that due to my pregnancy they will take back their offer and take back my promotion. Keeping in mind that everyhting was fine until last night when I requested my right.

I have no ideea what am I suppose to do in this case? From yesterday they putted a lot of pressure on me, I couldn't sleep, eat or take care of myself at all. I ended up crying again and I am in a lot of distress.

Any advice of how to sort this situation out?

Thank you

sorry this is happening to you. Legally they aren’t allowed to rescind a job offer for pregnancy.

I don’t suppose you are a member of unison or unite to act for you? If so, Union reps can be a god send but you have to be a member for 3 months before you can receive formal advice and support.

You can contact acas or pregnant then screwed for impartial advice.

Best advice I have is log everything. I would start a log of all the things they are doing and what you do and reinforce your statutory breaks from tomorrow.

big breaths and know that you and your baby are far more important than a job no matter what happens xx
