anti d late…

My midwife is anything but dynamic and hasn’t bothered to book my anti d injection despite knowing it was coming up to being due… she even mentioned it at the last appointment. Anyway, transpires she hasn’t booked and now the hospital are saying they have no appointments for at least another fortnight- meaning I will be well over 28 week mark - I’ll be 30+3 … I can’t find any info on rcog or nice guidelines really other than it should be given by 30 weeks . Has anyone else had this issue? I’m so worried .

Seems 2 ways you can receive anti D - some areas use 2- dose treatment others 1- dose treatment Speak again to m/wife to reassure you but as long as you get 1 between 28-30 weeks of your pregnancy Take a look at nhs.uk Prevention Rhesus disease

Take care

thank you, I’ve already called the midwife and the hospital team but they still seem adamant it’s fine up to 31 weeeks yet can’t provide me with any evidence of this. The RCOG and SHOT guidelines are quite specific in they say between 28-30 weeks. I think I’m just more annoyed at the fact that the midwife knew I would need this yet didn’t book it in enough time for me to have it within all of the guidelines suggested time frame. 😞
