soo tired

I’m 8 weeks today and honestly the last few weeks I have been exhausted up at 8.30 by lunch time I can barely keep my eyes open and need a nap. Is anyone else like this? Is it normal?

Hey Boo, this is totally normal! My hubby kept finding me asleep in all sorts of odd places round the house. Since 8 weeks I’ve been having an hour nap every afternoon and between 8-12 weeks I was still ready for bed by 9pm despite the nap! I think it’s a positive sign as it’s your body working hard to grow the placenta etc which is taking all your energy. Rest when you can and it should lift eventually x

Hi Boo. Sounds perfectly normal to me. Your midwife will keep an eye on your blood iron levels, so try not to worry. Diane

Yes totally normal! I was a zombie 🧟‍♀️ It’s better if you don’t fight it and just rest whenever you can.

Ahh I remember the tiredness well! I was exhausted the first trimester, but just think it as training for when your lovely little bubba comes along 😂 But seriously, it will improve over the next few weeks. Wishing you all the best x
