Fertility clinic been trading without a Hfea Licence

I have been attending a fertility clinic over a period of 2 years and have recently found out that they have have been doing the services without a licence, I am devastated, not only with the amount of money I have spent there but also feel violated, between the tests carried out and intimate tests and sperm insemination that i paid for there. Also, there is no information about where the sperm had come from, or if it was actually sperm or not. This happened to ME, i am aware that there have been hundreds of other women who have been to the same clinic and who were also fooled by them. Has anybody else on here had a similar experience? should i name the clinic on here as I am disgusted by their behaviour.

So sorry your dealing with this what an absolute mess! I wouldn’t put the clinic name just put what area it’s in and let people private message you.

Are the HFEA aware they don’t have a license? I would seek HFEA advice about what your rights are in terms of what you can do/compensation etc xx

Yes HFEA are aware, it was them who have reported the clinic when a client called to ask if they were an approved HFEA licensed clinic, then be told by HFEA that the clinic in question was not approved
