Job hunt first trimester - help!

Hey ladies, so I was overjoyed to find out I’m expecting a few weeks ago! I’m 7 weeks so early days still!

Anyways long story short my job was made redundant and I’m starting to interview for other roles. I’m feeling sooo guilty knowing that I’ll be going into a relatively senior position knowing that I’ll be leaving again in like 6 months. So worried that trust with a new employer will be broken at a really early stage before I even have a chance to make a good impression 😢🥺

I know the baby is the most important by miles but just wondering has anyone any advice on how to best handle this? I know I over worry and overthink and hormones probably ain’t helping!!

Thanks is advance ❤️❤️

Ahh I feel for you, it’s bad timing. But you can’t not go for work, 33 weeks with no work is a long time and you won’t be eligible for SMP only Maternity Allowance so it’s even more important to get a new job that you can go back to. You could always claim you didn’t know you were pregnant, it’s such early days. Or you could tell them but you have no duty to tell them. Fact is you’re going for a job and intend to go back there, you can’t help the circumstance. This is why law exists so that you’re protected. Good luck!!!
