Taking pessary at work

Hi! We’re on our IVF journey. I work from home so rarely need to be out in the road. But I’ve hit two work trips coming up and conscious that I take pessaries at a certain time. On occasion I have delayed by an hour or so, but with the work trips it may be delayed further. I’m wondering how others have handled this. I can’t lock myself in the toilet for 20-30 mins. People will think I’ve got for a number two 🙈 Any advice? X

Well I did just that 😂. I took long breaks for pessaries. I told my colleagues that I have some health issues. No one asked for details. And trust me I am usually not a person to share anything personal. But at that time I felt like I was functioning on an autopilot. Doing everything “right” for the process to work was such a priority that even a workaholic like me took a step back from being 1000 percent focused on work.

Which pessaries do you have and what is your protocol to take them? If they’re cyclogest could you switch to using them rectally (many do) as then you just pop one up there and get on with things straight away. I’ve had a reaction to Cyclogest unfortunately, but find Utrogestan three times a day, which I have now, a bit more faffy. I’m just having to accept that the middle of the day dose I am inserting as high as possible and hoping for the best as I can’t be out of action for 20-30 mins in work as I have a busy NHS job. The other two I do at 6.30am and 10.30pm so usually still in bed.
