Death while 6 weeks pregnancy

I just lost my baby in six weeks . No heartbeat. So they must taking out. My age is 43. Still can I have a chance to try to make baby again ? I have 12 years old daughter before. I want to have second child . Does collagen important? Did I take wrong food or stress?

I am so sorry to read that you lost your baby. Take some time to grieve your awful loss.

It is possible to become pregnant again at 43, but is more difficult and you might need medical help. I definitely don’t think that it is anything you did at all, we just have fewer strong embryos as we get older (we are more likely to miscarry, as I’m sure you know).

Ask your GP to refer you to a fertility specialist and ask the specialist questions about the odds of success. They can give you the best answer once they know your case. Sending you hugs 🤗

Thank u so much for encouragement and motivation. My doctor has sent the embryo to another town to check what's the exactly cause of death. İ wonder why. How to prevent miscarriage? Really my doctor is a good doctor maybe best in that hospital but he didn't tell me anything about what should do or not because I was pregnant before at age 31 it's different case right? Before 31 again I was having miscarried at age 27. And I've been using 6 years IUD but 2 years late taking out, is it also effecting?

Oh, that’s so hard. I’m afraid I don’t know much about IUDs but either your doctor or someone else here could advise you. Unfortunately over the age of 40 there aren’t as many of our eggs which are of good quality. It is not impossible to conceive a healthy baby at 43 but it could take more tries (and yes, you might think about IVF but if you can conceive naturally I don’t know if you need it other than to test the embryos in advance to try to find the best ones - PGS). I’m very certain your miscarriage was nothing to do with anything you did or didn’t do. My friend has just given birth to healthy babies conceived naturally (one at 44 and another one last week at 45). Maybe make a list of questions for your doctor and bring them with you next time you meet them. xx

Thank u so much for the explanation. Yes I right not all with good quality and not much of it too. They gave me some medication for making the eggs good.. anyway before pregnant naturally I've been taking B vitamins and Folic acid . And I will not give up to try and pray and let God do the rest . See u btw Ur lucky friends by age 44 and 45 can making baby well

That’s great you are taking the vitamins and that the clinic has tried some medication. Poor egg quality is not our fault. Our eggs have just got older. Unlike sperm there are not a lot of different ways to improve them as we are born with them. There is a bit of luck involved, which is unfortunately not something we can control.

Yes, it’s encouraging to see people naturally pregnant in their forties. It didn’t happen for me and I am now using double donor (sperm and egg donated by other people). For religious and other reasons I understand that this option would not be appropriate for everyone but it looks like I might be pregnant (found out yesterday) and that is an amazing feeling. If we do have a baby we will love that baby so strongly. We have waited such a long time. I’m 45. xx

Wow I hope it works for u. 45 but i supposed u still got period I mean still not menopause. I really want to have 1 more child. Because this is my second marriage. I divorced and my daughter with my ex (which is I don't want actually - I want her to be with me)

I’m so sorry for your loss. You absolutely did not do anything wrong. Miscarriages are unfortunately very common, a lot of the time caused by chromosomal problems you have no control over. There is always hope, keep trying and see a doctor if you need xx

Thank u for explanation. I suspected 2 days before it's happening I got food poisoning because I feel like diarrhea but not exactly. So many gas on my stomach

I’m so sorry for your loss it’s so tough. Please believe it’s nothing you did wrong - as we get older we have a higher percentage of embryos that will be genetically abnormal. I had a miscarriage when I was 42, approaching 43, I then got pregnant a year later and will be 44 when the baby is born. It’s an IVF pregnancy but with my own eggs so totally possible. Wishing you lots of luck xx

Wow grateful to u. İs it possible for 43 to do IVF? I was about to do IVF but after 1 month stopped the program then I became pregnant naturally. But failed after 6.5 weeks . İs it because I Always sleep late everyday?
