Negative pregnancy test 11dp3dt

Dear all,

Tested early morning on a first response today and it came back negative! I’ve been cramping last few days, hot flushes and now BFN! I guess thats the end of the road for us!

I have literally got no money to do another round. I physically hate this and I’m feeling so low.

Help please

Oh darling! So sorry to hear it didn't work out. My husband and I have talked about the cost and how much we are willing to spend. We are about to start a 3rd cycle ( we still have a frozen embryo left from the last one but I want to get as many embryos as possible before I turn 40) and we have decided this will be the last one. We don't want to get into deb and bring our baby to a life of struggle. I have started picturing my life without a child to prepare myself just in case. Thinking how I would decorate the " baby's room" as an office, do a master's degree, take expensive holidays that we could not be able to afford if we had children... I know it isn't ideal but you have to think this isn't the end of your life, it's just the beginning of a different one full of possibilities. Also, I spoke to a counselor after my first failed cycle and when I mentioned the cost of IVF and how it worried me we could only afford a 2nd one and that was it, she suggested to sit with my husband, think about how long realistically it would take us to save the money we needed and take a decision. It really helped because we realised we could afford one more round as during lockdown we had saved a fair bit. I hope this helps you see there are options, I know everything is dark now but it will get better! All the best Xx
