Interested to know if anyone has had extra sensitive teeth during ivf process? Mine coincided exactly with the start of stimms - bemfola 225 - and I have suffered ever since (currently 5 days post egg transfer). I had X-rays done before Christmas and hygienist just before starting ivf and all fine so unless I’ve developed something very suddenly it just seems like a bit of a coincidence. My teeth are super sensitive now to hot and cold and get dull achey pains intermittently sometimes top sometimes bottom - no pattern, not specifically when eating. I heard pregnant women’s teeth can be affected by hormones so just interested if anyone had the same experience as me. Cheers x

Ivf and sensitive teeth
Hey there!
While I have not personally gone through the IVF process, I am a fertility doula and I know that it's a very common. You are correct that all your symptoms happen during pregnancy (happened with both of mine) but, because of the hormones you take during IVF (and sometimes IUI) those same symptoms can occur as well.
At your next appointment with your fertility doctor, I'd mention it and see what they say. But, overall, it's very common.
Hiya! This didn't happen to me when I was going through stims, has your diet changed at all recently? The pregnancy hormones that affects a woman's oral health is mostly progesterone, which increases after you ovulate, while using the progesterone supplements or once you get pregnant, but it wouldn't affect the sensitivity it affects the gums. Try using sensodyne if it's bothering you quite a lot xxxxxxxccc
