Supplements causing af changes

Hi ladies hoping for some advice please. I m on more fertility supplements than I can bear to list here but the most recent additions are vit b6 and vitex. Main reason for these ones is to try to stop my pre-period brown spotting which has been happening in most cycles since aug 2016 but never ever before then. I’ve been ttc 2years in March and the sadness of the arrival of af each month never ceases to devastate me. The past 2 months have been different though in that the spotting hasn’t occurred but that the flow is much heavier . I have also had some worryingly large clots (the only other time I have ever had a big clot is after a failed ivf cycle). So my question is... is this a good thing on that spotting has stopped or should I be worried about the heavy flow? The heavy bit only seems to last around 48hrs out of the usual 5 days and I’ve no pain or anything but just another worry to add to the list. Any advice would be greatly appreciated I have been googling like mad . I am worried this is a pre menopause sign as ever since I found out I have low amh that’s been a big worry of mine . Should say I’ve also started taking Vit D. Please help or let me know your thoughts . Thanks in advance xx

Hey hun

Can I ask are your cycles regular?

I'm doing all that your doing plus, magnesium too.

Now clotting is scary if your not used to it but after years of heavy periods and horrendous clots I researched lots last year and found out that when our lining is, shedding during period the blood is coming away quick and fast especially if lining is thick so our body produces these clots to slow down the bleeding it's trying to save us from constant heavy flow although it seems we're heavy which we are but if it wasn't for the clots we'd be lots more heavy and river flowing fast constant. Hope that makes sense it did to me although I still freak out when I see one it's human nature. I think your lining has gotten thicker and that's what's causing clots 💗

Ill just tell you what I do I'm no means a, Dr but this is what works for me. I'm regular 28 days once iv ovulated I start taking vitex all the way to af if I get bfp will continue to take till 12 weeks and ween off. B complex vit d high strength and magnesium and vit c I take all month. My spotting has stopped. .

Hope this has helped lovely 💗🤗😘

Thanks for replying! Yes cycles are regular tho not always exactly 28 days, sometimes a few days more or less. Funny I thought about magnesium last night as it was mentioned in a low progesterone thing I read. How you finding that? So from the sounds of it you think a heavier af is a good sign? I guess any changes can’t be bad as I haven’t had a single bfp in 2yrs of trying so nothing to lose! I have a daughter conceived naturally who is nearly 4 & don’t remember af being that heavy when I conceived her though I never ever had spotting either . Glad you have got the spotting to stop! What dose is your Vit D? I’ve just ordered dhea online too - a bit scared to try it but it is getting to be desperate times . I’m sorry to read about all you have been through but sounds like you are getting closer every time so can’t be too long now hopefully xx

Hey hun

Magnesium is great it helps with fatigue also they say a lot of us have deficiencies with magnesium and iv read it helps to prevent miscarriage also. I bath in flakes and take flurodix magnesium liquid form. Bathing helps rid of toxins through skin and gets it in our bodies too helps with my daughters eczema also I out Himalayan salt in too it all helps with my endo pain.

I do think because you've had signs of low progesterone that your lining is getting thicker and it's what's causing heavier bleeding. I too conceived my daughter naturally no spotting ever buy always painful heavy periods. When I started with progesterone cream a few month ago the clots were horrific and I do definitely believe it's due to thicker lining faster flow body doing it's natural thing to protect us by producing clots to slow down the, flow.

I haven't tried dhea but I feel my next step will be ubiquinol also iv started take lipoic acid great antioxidant it's doing wonders for my skin my acne is awful but it's, clearing lots now since taking it Im going to invest in topical version see what happens.

Vit d dose I take 8000iu a, day I really don't get out much that's why and my levels were low in October

I know what you mean regards desperate. I'm going, back on keto diet to help loose weight and up nutrition limit inflammation. I hope you get there too honey I know how your feeling my daughter turned 4 in November it's time ticking that's stressful

💗🤗😘

Hi, just dropped in to ask. Do you take vitex during af? I have a herbal book and it says not to. But no explanation! I searched on-line and it seems that maybe vitex can cause more bleeding than would normally happen during af. And I also found some sites that said that all herbal supplements should stop during af so that the body can cleanse naturally.

Also, do you know if vitex can affect blood tests?
