I have used some of the Red Zinger teas for years but recently purchased Luzianne hibiscus tea. I've read many articles about its health benefits for liver disease. It takes great but also have read it can be harmful to the liver. Is it safe to drink a couple of glasses a day?

Improve Liver Health
Hibiscus tea may help to improve liver health, but studies are limited and some are contradictory. One study using hamsters showed that hibiscus tea may help decrease markers of liver damage.Another study with human participants showed that hibiscus extract may improve liver steatosis, which could reduce the risk of liver failure.
The compounds in hibiscus tea could actually lead to liver damage if you drink too much of it — which is also a possibility for people who drink detox tea every day. Having one or two glasses of hibiscus tea each day likely won't hurt your liver. However, you definitely shouldn't down a gallon of hibiscus tea.
It does have compounds that are detoxed by the liver so like anything else dose is critical and if your liver is compromised talk to your doc. Some of its chemicals are also likely beneficial so a mixed bag.
