Why is fatty liver not considered serious to health? I went to a specialist and they did an Ultra Sound and said I had fatty liver with little damage, so told me to lose weight and sent me off.

I am also being treated for RA with prednisone and Hydroxychloroquine. Both hard on the liver. What do I do? I also drink too much. Mostly wine. I know..............

I have no answer to why some doctors act like this. In the section of "living with fatty liver" you can find advice on healthy diets. In summary, healthy diet, avoid alcohol and some daily physical activity.

About medicines, i was taking a medication for hypertension and they did not stop giving it to me, until my liver enzymes were 3 times above normal and because I did not stop and I asked them for a liver profile 3 months after starting the medication. Sometimes it's a continuous struggle.

Hi! This is my first time posting for someone but felt the need! Remember that most doctors are band aid drs-they don’t search for the cause in most cases, including mine! My husband has psoriatic arthritis and was given steriods for a year until I looked into it more and found that wasn’t a great game plan. He is now on humura and doing great.

Hello. acovil (ramipril). It seems that my liver, which is not very healthy, could not tolerate it.

well in 2018 I went to a liver specialist, I was given a choice they would take 2\3's of my stomach & I could eat a jar of baby food for rest of my life or go on a low carb diet loose 125 lbs and keep it off and stay on low carb diet. I was F-3 & some cirrhosis. I felt this was very, very serious!! So in this I felt it was very serious and I have very active the do my best!! I have improved my cirrhosis, reversed my fatty liver and my fibrosis is at F-2 !! So I would suggest you look for another dr. ! A liver specialist !!!

I take xifaxin for my liver and organs. To me it is a miracle drug! For 20 years I couldn’t tolerate anything spicy and now I can! It helped my liver, kidneys and stomach! I also take b vitamins, lots of c and d bits!
