Has anyone had the tips procedure done? I have had 2 varices bleeds in a years time while in the hospital on the last bleed one of the doctors suggested the tips procedure but said it would be up to my hematologist who i will see in august

I haven't, but if it was me I'd try to get the advice of a hepatologist, a liver specialist, as the blood docs aren't really trained to manage liver disease. My multiyear effort to get diagnosed included seeing a hematologist who diagnosed my problem completely incorrectly.
