Just wanted to give a quick update that I was able to schedule my liverfast test so if anyone in Ohio wants one, it's possible! The woman that I spoke to specifically asked if I got information about the test from here which made me giggle. I'm super nervous that I am going to confirm my worst fears (cirrhosis), but I need to know. My fib-4 score is .41 so that gives me a little bit of hope.

Good luck, with your Fib-4 score you have statistically pretty high chance not to have F3-F4. Of course if you have some risk factors (fatty liver for example) is not a bad idea to make some further tests. But I do not think any hepatologist would recommend further steps based only on fatty liver without other abnormal tests in your case.
Don't worry till time I started with fatty liver & fibrosis & cirrhosis but after meeting with some remarkable people from IU Medical Center I started with a low carb diet. I have reduced all the above considerably.😊😊😊
Good luck, keep us posted. Push until you are satisfied. My numbers weren't high enough to concern my doctor nor was an ultrasound. Since they weren't concerned I wasn't either, had I known, it could have been all different now. Fatty liver is just too common these days and some people never have problems but when they do it's serious. With all diseases in my family liver was never one even my alcoholic brother has no problems, so I never thought about my liver, after all I wasn't a drinker was my thought. All the time I'm trying to get my brother to quit drinking it was going on in my body!!
You say he was going to biopsy it because of numbers, I assume he didn't. So exactly why did he decide not to, what looked good?
