Just wondering if anyone here experiences scanxiety before their six month liver scan? I have cardiac cirrhosis from right sided heart failure and Duke scans me every six months for HCC. I drink coffee everyday and also take a statin ( which the Cleveland Clinic recommends for prevention of HCC.) I have never drank alcohol and try to eat a liver friendly diet. I still get nervous before these scans though.

I suppose we all have some nervousness just because of the possibility of bad news but on the flip side you can look forward to it as it is a source of comfort to learn that you are still OK. I'm having my next one tomorrow and look forward to getting tested. The worst thing that can happen is to not discover cancer until it gets big and can't be treated.
