As most of you know I have been on the research program for about 9 months now. I have also lost 39 pounds in 3 months which my Dr. told me yesterday I need to show down, because the research program won't be happy I've lost so fast. I'm now 205 so I have a long way to go, but I feel great and look great and she thought so too. I was in for a colonoscopy, however we tagged it with a research appointment. I had a fiber scan 2 weeks earlier. I'm in the Stage 3 program, but actually am suppose to be in Stage 4 Fibrosis. When in the research program they don't share on My Chart your results and I had to ask. She said she hadn't seen my numbers either. She didn't even realize I had the test. So she looked it up and turned around all smiles. She said, You have to be on the right pill look at these numbers. I had gone from a 17.8 to a 11.4 on my elasticity test. Yea me. That little white pill is a cure for all of us with Cirrhosis. I can't wait to go back in 3 months, but I will be upset if the research program kicks me off my health plan. It's been the easiest and most effective weight loss program I have ever been on in my 64 years of life. There is hope guys. It's not to far away. My itching is improving and so are the stabbing pains in my side. Reflux is better and I'm not dragging anymore. There is hope.....Thank God I choose to do the research.

That is great news Alterity. I hope everyone listens to you. We have to participate in trials to ever get therapies that work. If you have a chance step up. Here is a link to a clinical trial finder that might help you find out if any are being run in your area.

I am glad everything is going well for you. I go Tuesday for screening to see if I can participate in a clinical trial. I have cirrhosis and I hope this trial can help. If everyone could remember me in prayer I would appreciate it so much. Thank you.

If you get in the trial, I hope and pray you get the right pill. Mine is a blind study, we felt I had the right pill, but the fiber scans says it all. No way even losing 30 pounds would drop it that much. Good Luck. All those test are not easy. Hang on for the biopsy.

Do they have you on a specific diet?

Yes, I'm on the Optavia 5-1 plan, best health plan I have been on in my entire life. No problems with my liver with it at all. If interested message me. I'm now a coach for them. Doctors approved me to try it, and it works.

What pill? My husband has hemochromatosis - Stage 3 Liver failure (Cirrhosis).

What is this white pill many people are speaking of?

That was 3 years ago. Off study now. I was not on the right pill and that pill was not approved by the FDA. I did lose however 48 pounds on Optavia, but the Dr. made me stop it because I was losing to fast. 2.5 months and almost 50 pounds. Now I'm on Ozempic, but that isn't near as good as the Optavia. Still in stage 4 even though I'm 80 pounds less than when I was diagnosed.
