Hi and thank you for letting me join the forum. Help! Not been told anything to help me other thay being overweight and having type 2 diabetes has caused it. I feel so bad, it sounds like I've brought it on myself. I was over 15 stone or a few years and recently lost over 1 stone with illness.
More tests are being carried out to help get to bottom of joint pain, fatigue which could be liver and a few other issues.
Any help or guidance would be appreciated.

If it is any consolation, you are in the same boat with a lot of us. Not an easy journey but not impossible either so first thing don't beat yourself up. We live in a society with food practices that generally aren't healthy. The message you will probably hear is lifestyle change, lose weight and exercise. Managing your diet is job 1. Not easy but think mostly plant based. You will have to manage the T2D but here is a link with some broad information about how you might think about it generally.
Sorry to hear of your diagnosis. I was diagnosed just before lock down but still waiting to see a specialist. It's a really scary position to be in. I am very over weight. I have cut out sugar and reduced carbs, cut out salt and red meat, I do t drink anyway. I have had joint pain for years, which is more of less gone just with these changes! Monitoring my blood sugar and it seems steady but liver symptoms all still there. You will find lots of information on this forum I am trying to use it best I can until I can get more information. You can always call a BLT nurse on the help line for some advice too xx
