What is the purpose of a Fibro scan. If you already have Cirrhosis is it needed?

I’m guessing it’s to keep an eye on the progression of your cirrhosis

The scan is to check how bad or good your Cirrhosis is. It checks for scarring and what stage.

To check your progress. I just had my 2nd fibroscan yesterday and it indicates a great improvement over my initial one just over a year ago in May 2018. So now I know the past year of eating a healthier diet and losing some weight has improved the Nash.
