I'm 34 and newly diagnosed. I'm a little overwhelmed at the moment, I have nonalcoholic fatty liver disease. My paternal uncle and grandfather died from liver cancer, so there is concern. I'm still gathering information to understand how to best control things.

Hello
Hi Blue
It does come as a shock, even worse when you are young. Best next steps, learn all you can and start with internalizing that your food is medicine. It is complex, but here is a link to get you started. The site has a lot of information if you want to dig deep. I built the site because I am a cirrhosis patient and wanted to give back what I have learned in managing my disease.

See if you can locate a doctor that will look at all natural ways of healing. Our bodies are very good at healing if we give it the correct types of nutrition and helpful supplements. Don’t leave any area of medical intervention unturned. They are many holistic doctors out there. They work to heal the whole body. You didn’t get sick in a day and it will take a lot of proactive drives on your part to get better. God bless your full recovery. Don’t forget your spiritual health too. Have you accept Christ as your savior? If not, I would encourage you to get involved with a local church and be baptized into the family! Or, I can walk you to the feet of Jesus too.
Thank you. My doctors are not holistic, but they are very encouraging with diet and exercise. They've told me that is really all that can be done currently. I'm actually a pastor in the PC (USA).
