Seeking help on cirrhosis
I have found the American Liver Foundation and fatty liver. Org to be fantastic resources. Diet and exercise are critical for this journey. Also, you may have a local support group in your are? Good luck. Karyn
Hi Joewho1
Education is key. There are a lot of different opinions out there. One thing to consider as you get confused is which ones are trying to sell you something. The number of "miracle" products is quite amazing lately. Diet and exercise are key. Many people are able to improve their situation but they do have to be serious about their lifestyle. Here are a couple of links which can get you started.

Hi, Joewho1. I am sorry to hear of your husband's illness. How severely ill is he? If he is very ill (say, bedridden a lot) you may also want to join one or more groups for people with cirrhosis. (Cirrhosis is a more serious illness than fatty liver disease and NASH.) You will find that many people in support groups for cirrhosis are actually the spouses (usually wives) of the actual patients. These groups share tips on managing severe symptoms and getting on transplant lists.
