Lots and lots of water! Good luck!

There really aren’t any foods to eat to speed a kidney stone on its way. Drinking lots of water is the most efficient. Your doctor may prescribe flomax or other meds to help you pass it if the stone is small enough. If it’s larger you may need a stent. I’m assuming you’ve seen a doc about this.

I am a calcium oxalate kidney stone former. I just accept it now because all of my attempts to control it failed. If THEY become larger than a 4mm ureter a procedure called lithotripsy is necessary. It took 3 of these to break up my stone into small enough fragments to pass through my ureter.

The doctor will give you a list of foods to avoid and tell you to drink a lot of water.

There is research indicating vitamin C is stone forming. Vitamin C is helpful to detox the liver.

Yes, it is a dilemma.

Good luck.
