This article is about Ivan Blazquez who is an ACSM certified exercise physiologist with a master’s degree in exercise physiology , so he's very athletic.
I think that this article is well written and has lots of information I particularly like the 24 hour body clock diagram as we all know how our energy levels change through out the day.
"Time restricted eating" (or Not Eating All Day) would be very much better names for what we call "Intermittent Fasting".
Ivan has a master's degree, but it seems that he has mostly learnt by reading articles on the internet - like us. I too have studied nutrition (agricultural, but still mostly relevant).
Most articles on the internet say that Ketosis and autophagy do not occur till much later in the fast... and it is difficult to measure, quantify or time ketosis or autophagy.
The LifOmic app claims to be able to tell you how long you are in keto... without even requesting access to all the info in the Apple Health App.
We believe what we want to - but he does advocate eating breakfast and missing dinner, as I do... and gentle workouts during fasts - as I normally do - I intend to on my longer fast.
Body-building and reducing body-fat (aka "losing weight") both involve losing fat... and most obese people want to lose fat without losing muscle... so, a body-builders perspective is relevant.
Hi S11m and thank you. I thought the article was informative as he practises what he preaches so fasts and is a fitness fanatic and blimey does he look strong and healthy.
