Hi, my wonderful 15 yr old son has struggled with wetting for many years. He is under the consultant for having a very sensitive bladder & takes Imipramine & Solifenacin. He is revising for his GCSEs & is wet every night. It’s really getting him down.
I would love some support & advice from others who are/have gone through this as none of my friends that I’ve told can help.
Thanks for reading x

Hi, my daughter is the same. She’s never been dry at night (but has zero accidents during the day). Paed says she sees many children her age (15) with this problem but I find that hard to believe. It’s good to come across someone else with the same issue. Daughter is on slow release Tolteradine 4mg and desmopressin. It doesn’t work. We’re totally stuck and don’t know what else to do for her. She’s mortified by it.
Hi, you’re the first person I’ve spoken to who understands. Thank you for replying.
We just get on with life & my son is so resilient, or seems to be, but the added pressure of revision & impending exams caused him so much pain & upset last week, it was heartbreaking. He has periods where he’s mostly dry and then out of the blue, completely wet every night. He’s tried Tolteradone & Desmopressin. I’m considering CBT. Do you have thoughts /experience on this?
Same here. Never met another person whose child is the same or even a similar age! Usually when people refer to late bed wetting, they mean age 8-12, not older. We’ve always been told it’ll stop on its own but it’s never even improved. My daughter is also autistic (high functioning - Asperger’s type) and probably wouldn’t cope with CBT. I’ve tried it myself and really struggled. Felt like they were teaching me to suck eggs. I’ve heard good things about it though so may be worth a try. We’re in Scotland but originally from England. Daughter is also doing her exams (nationals - equivalent to GCSEs) and it’s really holding her back.
Hi, my son’s been trying the mattress alarm for a few weeks but it doesn’t wake him up . He’s going for an internal in 2 weeks so not sure where we go from there. How are things with you?
