We did a disimpaction with my 2 year old (now age 3) in January and then we were reducing maintenance doses very slowly down to where we were at one sachet a day - this was working great for all this time (7 months no issues) and so we tried reducing to half a sachet and then to nothing very slowly. This led to one week with no cosmocol at all, which seemed fine initially but yesterday she’s had a day where the poo was tiny, she seemed like she was witholding and she now seems reluctant to use the toilet.
Do I need to go back to disimpaction or maintenance doses from this point forward? Thank you.

Thanks we’ll do that! We’ve done the maintenance dose for as long as problem was there initially but perhaps her bowel hadn’t quite regained its form, or perhaps she’s still not getting enough water orally. We do everything possible from fun straws and bottles, all the fun at the fair to encourage great drinking habits but it’s a daily struggle to get her to have as much as us recommended so I wonder if she will need cosmocol until she’s able and willing to take more water on daily. Thanks again.
