My 2 year old has been put onto laxido. He was soiling up to 20 pairs of pants a day. So we followed the ERIC guide up to 8 sachets but i couldn't see anywhere how to reduce to maintenance dose so did 1 day of 6, 1 of 4, 1 of 2 then kept him on 1 but he went back to soiling. So was advised i reduced to quick and to disimpact again 😔
So what maintenance dose do i go to and for how long? I feel like im making it up as i go along and my son is so irritable and not his self while going thru disimpaction.

You work upto the maximum dose for their age until you reach watery stools with no lumps consistently for a few days before you start reducing the doses down extremely slowly ie one dose every few days until you reach a suitable maintenance dose to remain on.
How do you know when its the right maintenance? Is it one soft poo a day? If its more or less should you go up or down a sachet? Sorry i feel so unknowledgeable
Thank you. Final question....if when on maintenance say 4 sachets, if the stool is more like a 5 or 6 on the stool chart then do i stay on 4 until it gets to a 4 on chart. Same if we were on 3 sachets maintenance and stool was more a 5/6 bristol stool should i then up it to 4 sachets? Thanks so much
