Hi everyone. I am currently on day four of Disimpaction with my three year old boy. He's been brilliant with his sachets having them in his squash. Today though we are struggling a bit (6 sachet day) I've researched over and over and advise from professionals over the last three years has ended up contradictory and sometimes completely incorrect at times. From what I've read the important part is mixing the sachet with the correct amount of water to bind it, I've been doing this and adding a bit if squash. It does say you can add some water to milk for example and put it onto cereal. Would that not dilute it too much? It's quite confusing. I was thinking of trying to add some to custard in the hope he eats it, I'm really not sure tho. Any help /advice would be very much appreciated! Thanks

Advise needed for disimpaction and making sure they drink all sachets
No that's fine, as long as you mix it with the correct amount of water first you can add it to anything else afterwards.
As our sachets increased my daughter just got used to the taste. She'll sip some with a dribble of apple juice or just have it neat if I syringe it.
I was mixing it with less water or a couple at a time, but was told it's important to stick to the amount of water it says to mix it with. Mind you one Dr told me to stop with artificial laxatives as his bowels would get used to them and then not work properly 😞 ended up in A + E 🙄
Dear Cjbt , you are absolutely right, always mix with the correct amount of water first, then you can add the solution, in whatever amounts you choose, to anything at all. Once the mixture is made up, the molecules are the rightsize to make sure that laxative stays in the bowel and gets absorbed into the poo. eric.org.uk/how-to-use-macr...
Hi did you try it in custard. I used to mix 2 in a bottle of hydro/fruitshoot type drink and shake it up. They don't know its in their. Have you tryed fybogel? I also give plenty fibre and summer time ice pop all day they get their fluids. I also put flax seeds in her cereal. Plenty exercise will help. Especially the trampoline that really gets body going.
