4yr boy accidents at primary school

my son is 4 1/2 yrs, started primary school in September, poo’s are always a struggle but we we’re getting through it by giving him so lactose and putting him on the toilet after his dinner and watching the iPad. But in the last two weeks he has had 2 poo accidents at school.

I devastated I don’t know what to do now? I’m anxious every day dropping him incase it happens. 😩😩

Any advice?

Speak to the school, ensure he has an intimate care plan. Get them to take him to the toilet after break and lunch. Is he soiling or having accidents? If he is soiling he needs disimpacting, havea watch and read of these articles vimeo.com/179497116

There is lots of information that you may find helpful on the Bladder & Bowel UK website at bbuk.org.uk/bowel-resources/ The leaflet that may be most useful at this stage is the one at bbuk.org.uk/wp-content/uplo...

hey my wee boy was exact same. He started in September and was well managed on laxido every every day. Then started to stain pants once he started school.

Had an appointment with continence nurse and she said he isn’t impacted but upped laxido 2 sachets one day and one the next. He is now pooing every day with no ‘sneaky poos’ as we call them coming out at all.

I also made him up a positive reinforcement chart tractor themed and he loves putting a tractor on it every time he poos. Also encourage plenty of fluids.

It’s the most frustrating thing in the world 😵‍💫 this point business, don’t know if this is helpful at all but it has worked for us x
