Alternative for Senna

I am unable to get hold of liquid Senna for my son. I was told it's actually a manufacturing delay and no-one knows when it will be back in. I've tried all of the pharmacies in my area on the off chance they might have some in stock but with no success. I spoke to the pharmacist at my doctor's and she said to get Califig as it contains Senna. I've looked up Califig and maybe it used to, but it doesn't seem to contain it now. What is the best Senna liquid substitute for a nearly 5 year old? Thanks.

Califig will help, i used that on my step daughter before she got really badly constipated. Sweet corn with meals will also help as you have to poo at some point. Toilet routine, after every meal. Fresh orange juice. Savers is the shop i found liquid senna. Hope this helps

Maybe you can get hold of senna itself? The herb/pods (not sure what to call them). I have succes with making a laxative tea for my son with 2 tablespoons of senna pods, 1 tablespoon of green tea (the herb not a teabag) and 2 tablespoons of peppermint (also the herb) boil in water and let it sit for around 30 minutes and then give the tea throughout the day. Like about 10 to 12 sips from this brew definitely works for my son! Hope it helps :)

I have bought some dulcasoft and that works really well. Tells you the amount to give as you want and can be put in drinks and they don't taste it either. Itvworks quicker than senna. Child will have it no problem. She don't like the movical.
