Really need some advice

So my little boy is 4yrs old he isn't self toileting so when he's a pre school they take him to the toilet several times he tries to go but nothing comes and he's constantly wetting himself, but if I take him he goes. Me and the pre school are running out of ideas as its ruining his time there.

It’s possible he is constipated. What’s happening when he is at home?

It is a possibility but he's been like it since September when he started. At home I just constantly take him to the toilet he will only go if I'm stood with him same if it's his dad or nanny. He dosent yet poo on the toilet he uses a nappy and can say his belly hurts thats how I know he needs a poo or he will say mum get me a nap nap. Iam starting to get him to sit on the toilet but nothing happens

What is like at home? It sounds like he is constipated through withholding whilst at pre-school. It may look like he is trying to go when in fact he isnt and he is witholding.

It definitely sounds like it, you may need to consider a laxative to help him go, speak to your dr and explain everything to them. It's best to get it sorted now before it really becomes an issue for him.

He’s only 4. Takes time to get the hang of it. My son struggled until he was 7 plus.... but my son has always had problems with constipation which caused his enuresis. Good luck!
