Hi, my daughter has OAB and while I'm pleased the paediatricians don't want to put her on medication; I'm just wondering if any parents can report back on whether using a Tens machine for OAB has helped their child at all please. Thank you.

Hiya I'm afraid we didn't have any improvement using it. But it was definitely worth a try and it was part of the process of us trying everything on the initial list before being able to get urodynamics assessment done. I really hope it helps your daughter, sending hugs and strength, it's a tough journey!

We are just waiting to get a TENS machine so interested to see what others have found too.

Hello - my nearly 11 yr old has been using TENS in conjunction with medication for the last 9 months and we notice a marked improvement in his bladder volumes while he's wearing it.

With no treatment at all his max volume is about 150ml, with meds it's 200ml and with meds plus TENS it's sometimes almost 300ml.

Unfortunately we haven't found that the impact lasts when he's not plugged into it, as it were. So it's been great during lockdown as he just wears it round the house, and we use it to try and increase his capacity, but not a long term solution for us unfortunately.

Hope it helps your daughter, best of luck.
