Do we need to restart disimpaction?

After 3 hrs with very little help from Drs, we decided to try the disimpaction regime. Stopped after 5 days as my son (aged 6) had been passing type 7 poo for 24 hours and was feeling the urge to go (which he hadn't for absolutely ages). We then had 48 hours with no soiling, but now one bout of soiling first thing yesterday and this morning. Massive improvement, but did we stop the disimpaction too soon and now need to restart? Or should we focus for a bit longer on getting the maintenance dose right and getting him to sit on the toilet earlier in the morning?

Thanks to any of you who read and comment!

If I were you I would disimpact again and continue until you get to rusty water. Then reduce dose down gradually until you get to the right maintenance dose.
